I was presently surprised today when I visited The Washington Post! They have done a great story on Loi Thai the owner of Tone on Tone!

It's one of my favorite online stores of course, with all the swedish antiques and mora clocks. The name Tone on Tone is very befitting for the store with all the pale colors used. Just look at the white ceramic collection and his collection of mercury glass, just lovely. His home is a perfect example of an all white design with pale tones used anchor the room.

Theresa Smith - Romantic Mobile Home Paradise

This is my first post that I really am emotional over! What Theresa has done to her double wide mobile home has inspired me more than anyone anywhere! I am almost speechless and it just goes to show that to have beautiful interiors you do not have to live in a mansion.

This also sits very close to home for me because I am going thru a short sale for my large home in Tennessee that I had to give up, and now am living in an apartment with just over 1000 square feet in Oregon! I have decorated of course and will get pictures up asap, but this is my affirmation that it's ok!! No....I don't need all those wood floors and high ceilings to prove I can decorate, beautiful design can be found in any home regardless of size or build.

Thank you Country Living for this feature I am soo sure you have inspired and touched the hearts of many with this.

Annie Kuentzman-Levet's home in France

Here I have photographed pages of an old Victoria Magazine, it is issue October 1998. The home is of Annie Kuentzman-Levet who is a decorator and sells right out of her home in France. She arranges her rooms so customers can come right in to shop.

Sometimes I read old issues of Victoria, and last night I found this feature. I think this is a perfect example of why I think the old Victoria was soo magical! EVERY SINGLE FEATURE DONE WAS TIMELESS! You can go back years and years and still learn more and find inspiration for today. Off hand I can see a zinc finial lamp, a birds nest, a galvanized bucket, a wooden horse, linen and burlap, mercury glass, slipcovers and more, not even mentioning her perfect furniture!.....And this was over 10 years ago!

Bleu d'Orage shop in France

I'm not sure about my readers but my Summer is going way to fast. Maybe it's the move I made or all the medical stuff but I want more....way more! Many shops are already displaying fall stock!! This was the summer of the beach...I swear I bought so many shells, even my potpourri is Pottery Barns Ocean Potpourri and it really smells like the beach!

Well on to the post at hand...

I can't read a word in french but boutique Bleu d'Orage is a must share...... I found it from the wonderful blogger Tongue in Cheek. Thank god she posts in English! I believe that no one mixes the reds, blues and greys better than the French! I love all the natural fabrics and tones, and after seeing the below daybed mattress I've decided I've got to have one like that and thank god I found a shop in Eugene that will sew it for me. oh...I bet they don't use real cotton filling but oh well. good news-good news...

The New FCL STYLE

I just received an email from Pierre Deux introducing their new sister company FCL STYLE, a wonderful new shop with french inspired furniture and decor. I purchased the antique picnic basket and lavender scented linen draw liners right away. I can never pass up an old basket or anything linen or lavender! Nothing beats country charm and I mean nothing......

They are having a givaway for the first one hundred sells so go get yours....

Aidan Gray - A must have!

Aidan Gray has it all, I love everything they sell. With tons of retailers all over the country there is no reason not to go straight out and buy, buy, buy! I believe their table lamp collection is the best on the market right now. Europe has landed big time.....

Annie Brahler of Euro Trash

I have wanted to do a post on Annie Brahler's home in Jacksonville, Illinois for a long long time and since I'm on a roll today here it is! Her home is actually a landmark and is called the William Howard Thompson House. Annie owns an import company called Euro Trash and from the looks of her home, she's got some good access! I absolutely love her style with all the french pieces and soft colors, and just look at her Christmas mantels!
